It is possible that here at UK Timber, we have the UK’s largest stock of high quality air dried and green oak beams. We aim to provide customers with the highest quality materials available and try to fulfil any order given to us no matter the size.
At present, UK Timber keep hundreds of both air dried and freshly sawn oak beams in stock ready to be delivered across Cambridgeshire and the rest of the nation via our dedicated twelve crane vehicle delivery service.
Structural Air Dried Oak Beams
We offer a large supply of Air Dried Beams cut from the highest quality oak that are perfect for almost any structural use and are available in most dimensions. Be noted that these beams, due to the lengthy drying times, may bear few surface splits, cracks, knots, and few bore holes though it just adds extra character to a new build, renovation or project without compromising structural qualities.
Structural Green Oak Beams
Fresh cut Green Oak Beams that are available in standard or custom defined sizes and perfect for most structural uses. Cut from either English or French oak and can graded in accordance to TRADA’s THA (D40) or THB (D30) structural specifications. Our green structural oak beams are always plentiful in stock and we can provide them in a single beam or a truck load depending on your desired requirements.
Kiln Dried and Green Oak Boards
As a result of our green oak beam production, we generally have a surplus of falling oak boards that we then air dry and further kiln dry which will usually be used in our floor and moulding productions. Also due to the surplus, we also supply fresh sawn oak boards at a significant lower cost in comparison to the dried material.
Oak Dowels
To go along with our beam and boards production, we also provide our customers with octagonal machined dowels for joinery purposes. Our Oak dowels are fully dried and will swell well to give a nice tight fit between joints.
Nationwide Delivery
Here at UK Timber, we provide our customers with a reliable and fast delivery service straight from our depot to your door. Our twelve crane vehicle fleet will delivery your goods with the cost based on the distance between us and you rather than the quantity of your order, and those within forty miles of our Corby based depot and orders exceeding £200 free delivery is offered, which including some of Cambridgeshire, Most of Northamptonshire and much of Leicestershire.
