At UK Timber we make premium, solid hardwood wooden driveway gates. We work with several quality timbers, but our speciality is European oak, which is known for its golden colour, its great durability and its timeless character. All the timber is selected and processed at our own sawmills, which gives us full quality control through to the finished gate.

Made in our Corby workshops in the Midlands, our craftsmen use traditional jointing, such as mortise and tenon joints, for structure, strength and beauty. UK Timber are proud makers of quality, solid, handmade softwood driveway gates in British Douglas Fir. We use traditional jointing methods for strength and beauty. All the timber is carefully selected at our own sawmills and treated with respect. We use only the best fittings to complement the traditional handcrafting, which is carried out in our Corby workshops in the Midlands.

Our Douglas Fir gates come in the same designs as our oak range: cottage style, palisade and closeboard, with midview, swan neck, curved top or flat top heads. Pairs suit full driveway openings, and single gates are also available. For a garage door, choose a closeboard pair with a flat top.

Douglas Fir is a lower-cost alternative to oak. Leave it untreated to weather to a silver grey, or use a UV oil to help keep its colour; we supply Treatex for Douglas Fir. UK Timber are proud makers of quality hand made fiels gates using traditional jointing methods for strength and beauty. All timbers are carefully selected from our own sawmills and treated in a respectful manner. We use only the best galvanised fittings for longevity and to happily guarantee our workmanship.

The gates that we produce use substantial bars and uprights with traditionally jointed components, not to be confused with cheaper nailed or stapled thin gauge equivalents. To ensure maximum longevity and ultimate stability some components may be laminated.
