Our design tools let you plan timber projects on screen before you order. Use a timber configurator to design your own door, pergola, gate or bollards: choose the size and options, and the price updates as you go. Each design is then made to order at our Corby workshop. Pergolas are produced and delivered within 10 working days. If you are working out quantities rather than designing a product, our timber calculators help too. The decking calculator works out boards, joists and screws for your deck, and the featheredge cladding calculator helps you plan boards for a wall. Our timber conversion calculator handles imperial to metric sizes, square metres to linear metres and volumes, and an all-profile cladding calculator is coming soon. Timber door configurator
Need a solid timber door in a size you cannot find off the shelf? Our timber door configurator lets you design your own internal door in European oak, Douglas fir, English ash, American white oak or American red oak. Choose from ledged, braced, framed, stable, Shaker, traditional panel and Victorian four panel styles, in character or prime grade, and the price updates on screen. Pergola configurator
Design your own pergola in the size your garden needs. Choose an EasyFit kit (Standard, Heavy Duty or Super Heavy) in freestanding, wall-mounted or corner versions, or a Diamante kit, in stock sizes or bespoke sizes. Pick posts, end profiles, rafters, wind braces and post supports, from bolt-down shoes and drive-in spikes to staddle stones. Wall fixings are not included with wall-mounted kits, so please supply fixings suited to your wall. You see the price as you go.
Timber gate configurator
Use our timber gate configurator to design a field gate or driveway gate that fits your opening. Choose European oak or British Larch/Douglas Fir, then pick a single gate, a pair, or a combo with a matching pedestrian gate. Field gates come with a flat or curved heel top in 5 bar or half paled styles. Driveway gates come with flat, curved, swan neck or midview tops, in closeboard, cottage or palisade infill. The price updates as you change each option.
Timber bollard configurator
Design timber bollards for driveways, car parks and garden borders. Choose European oak or Douglas fir, sawn, planed or planed and chamfered, in square sections from 100 to 250mm and lengths from 900 to 3000mm. Pick a flat, back weathered, half pyramid, full pyramid or 4-way flat top, and add grooves if you like. For hard surfaces, add bolt-down supports; for bollards set in the ground, add Postsaver sleeves to help protect the base. You see the price as you go.

Decking calculator
Planning a new deck? Enter the size of your deck and choose your boards, and the decking calculator works out how many boards, joists and screws you need. It uses board widths and joist sizes from our own decking range, so the list matches what we sell. It saves you working out quantities by hand and helps you avoid ordering too much or too little. Then browse our decking supplies to choose your boards, joists and screws.
Custom Cutting
Custom Cutting lets you order timber cut to your own sizes. Choose from fresh sawn oak beams, air dried oak beams and boards, kiln dried oak boards, rustic landscaping oak beams, and larch and Douglas fir. Enter your length, width and thickness and the price is worked out for you before you add it to your basket. It is ideal for framing, mantels, shelving and joinery projects where standard lengths will not do.
Conversion calculator
Our timber conversion calculator puts the sums you need in one place. Convert inches to millimetres, find what 4x2 is in mm, turn square metres into linear metres for cladding and decking, and work out boards per metre, sleepers, sheet coverage, volume in m³, board feet and hoppus feet. It uses cover widths and sizes from our own range where possible.

Cladding a shed, garage or extension with featheredge? Our featheredge cladding calculator helps you work out how many boards you need for your wall, allowing for the overlap between boards. What can I design with UK Timber's design tools?
You can design your own timber gate, pergola, door and bollards online with our configurators. We also have a decking calculator, a featheredge cladding calculator, a timber conversion calculator and Custom Cutting for beams and boards cut to your sizes. An all-profile cladding calculator is coming soon.
Can I see the price while I design?
Yes. In our door, gate, bollard and pergola configurators the price updates as you change the size and options, so you know the cost before you order.
Are configured products made to order?
Yes. Everything you design in our configurators is made to order at our Corby workshop. Pergolas are produced and delivered within 10 working days, and our porch kits can take up to 15 working days from order. For anything else, call 01536 267107 for current lead times.
Are wall fixings included with a wall-mounted pergola?
No. Wall fixings are not included with wall-mounted pergolas. Please supply fixings suited to your wall, as brick, block and timber walls need different fixings.
Can I fix timber bollards to a hard surface?
Yes. Our bollard configurator offers bolt-down supports as an option for hard surfaces. For bollards set into the ground, you can add Postsaver sleeves to help protect the base.
How do I work out how much decking I need?
Use our decking calculator. Enter your deck size and choose your boards, and it works out the boards, joists and screws you need from our decking range.
