Untreated Reclaimed Tropical Hardwood Sleepers

A highly dense tropical hardwood. These sleepers have been lifted from beneath the tracks of heavily used parts of the UK rail network (points, crossings, etc). This Tropical hardwood is incredibly hard and dense, it will last and last. It is completely untreated due to its hard wearing, dense characteristics.

These rare tropical hardwood sleepers are not treated with creosote, which makes them perfect for use in and around water features, high use areas, or any location where constant contact is required.

Please note that reclaimed railway sleepers have been used previously for many decades. Therefore your reclaimed sleepers may contain fragments of metal and the possibility of spray paint or markings on the surface of the sleeper.
