British Larch Channel Siding Cladding is strong and durable, built to withstand weather elements. The Channel Siding profile provides clean, modern shadow lines to add texture and character to your project. Channel Siding cladding profile features a distinctive recessed channel that creates bold shadow lines once installed, giving your project depth, texture, and a strong architectural presence.

British Larch has striking colour variations from pinks, browns to creams depending on which part of the tree it is cut. There are some dark brown knots which can loosen as the wood dries, this occasionally results in resin patches that may ooze a little at first and sometimes during subsequent hot summers. Due to its super high resin content, British Larch can prove to be twice as durable as common pine, making it an incredibly strong and hardwearing species.

This machined cladding is recommended for external use only. If exposed to varying weather conditions before fitting your boards, they are likely to cup, warp and split; the ideal time to fit cladding to keep this to a minimum is between the months of October and April and within 7 to 14 days of delivery.

Your boards will be supplied untreated. No treatments are required, however if you wish to preserve the supplied colour or use a weather resistant sealant, please take a look at our Treatex range. Should you wish to leave it to age gracefully, it will eventually turn to a beautiful silvery grey colour as the sun rays do their work.

Ready to fix and available in two options - First and Character Grade:

  • First Grade is sorted to include only the clearest (most knot free) boards with the straightest grain possible. A perfect choice for all modern and contemporary applications.
  • Character Grade will have a mixture of all top four grades, 1 through to 4 - some clear of knots and some straight grain, others with knots and some sloping grain. A perfect choice for all traditional/rustic applications, it gives a less uniformed look, without compromising its excellent durability properties.

End-Matching (Tongue and Groove) will allow you to place joints where they fall, instead of on the stud, allowing you to finish the job more quickly without sacrificing on quality and helps minimise wastage.

We offer the following section sizes:

  • 142mm x 20mm - The overall width is 142mm, with the visible face measuring 127mm

Priced per square metre and supplied in random lengths between 1200mm and 3600mm unless otherwise specified for an additional charge:

  • Set lengths up to 3500mm - £8.00 extra per square metre exc VAT
  • Set lengths above 3500mm - £12.00 extra per square metre exc VAT

This can be done by adding the 'Set lengths (Cladding)' product to your basket (1 quantity = 1 square meter of cladding). You will need the same amount of cladding and set lengths in your basket to get the set lengths that you need so make sure to double check you have added the correct quantity.

The visible face size is 15mm less to account for the joint.

If your boards are exposed to varying weather conditions before fitting, they are likely to cup, warp and split; the ideal time to fit cladding to keep this to a minimum is between the months of October and April and within 7 to 14 days of delivery.

Please be aware that sizes are subject to change in response to changes in moisture levels. Cladding will be dispatched at given sizes, but a margin of error should be used when producing cladding layout drawings for expansion and contraction in the timber.

Please contact our Sales Team on 01536 267 107 should you have any issues.

Still unsure? We offer up to two samples of our cladding boards for a £5 inc VAT postage charge. Should you wish to then purchase cladding boards that are the same product as your samples, we will reimburse you the £5 postage charge upon ordering!*
