About Douglas fir

British grown Douglas fir trim boards, to match our Douglas fir cladding. Use them as a finish or edging on cladding projects, or as soffits and fascia boards. Douglas fir has striking colour variations from pinks, browns to creams depending on which part of the tree it is cut. Supplied untreated; left alone it weathers to silver grey.

Profile and fitting

Fix with stainless steel or specialist coated fixings: for Douglas fir, iron fixings can cause black staining. Edge detail: sawn.
