British Douglas Fir cut to size

UK grown British Douglas Fir beams, sawn to size straight from the log in lengths up to 12.5 metres. A lower cost, equally attractive alternative to fresh sawn oak.

Sawing to size from the log means shorter lead times, a huge choice of sizes, and grading and quality control on site. Beams come sawn, planed all round (PAR) or PAR & chamfered. They are fresh sawn, so expect some shrinkage as they dry.

1. Product type

Beams are cut to your sizes at our sawmill, up to 12.5 m long and 400 mm wide for this option. They are mostly cut a little longer than ordered so you can trim them to size on site. This is intentional, not a defect.
