Newels are one of the main structural elements of any balustrade. Our traditional one piece newel post in solid European oak can be varnished, stained, painted or left in its natural state to suit your style.

As these newels are a natural living product, they will be subject to warping, surface cracks and splits. Upon exposure to the elements, your oak newel will also turn a beautiful silvery grey. Although no treatments are required, you can prolong the supplied colour of the oak and increase its protection from the elements by treating your newel with Treatex External Virgin Oak Oil and Treatex External Oak Protection. Finished with a subtle machined pyramid top, offers a distinctive modern look for your deck or balcony.
