This finish is designed for an easy, efficient application, whether you choose to buff, brush, or roll it on. It features a low-odour formula that is quick-drying, typically becoming ready in just 3-6 hours, or as fast as one hour when buffed. In most cases, no sanding is required between coats, although a light sanding can easily resolve any minor grain raising. On lighter timbers, the oil imparts a "warming" effect; this can be prevented by first applying Treatex Hardwax Oil Ultra Soft White or Colour Tone Ultra Natural.

Once applied, it creates a highly durable, water-resistant surface that also withstands high temperatures. Its strength can be further increased with the Treatex hardener. This resilience is certified by its compliance with DIN 68861-1B, proving its resistance to common spills like water, wine, beer, coffee, and fizzy drinks.

Long-term care is simple, as the surface is spot-repairable and easy to clean with Treatex Floor Care or Treatex Spray on Floor and Surface Clean. Maintenance is straightforward using Treatex Wax Polish.

Safety and health are paramount. The finish is certified slip-resistant (BS 7976-2 PTV) for domestic, commercial, and wet areas, with an option to add Treatex R12 Anti-Slip additive for even greater grip. It is certified food-safe (BS EN 1186-3:2002) and safe for children's toys (DIN EN 71-3). The formula meets VOC emissions regulations, contains no biocides, preservatives, or carcinogens, and is recommended for those with dust allergies because it allows dirt and dust to be removed easily.

Suitable for Internal use

Recommended timbers: All (dense/oily timbers may require Treatex Thinner). Has a warming effect on some timbers.

Applications: Floors, doors, stairs, worktops, woodturning, skirting, furniture, instruments etc.

Coverage:

  • 1L will cover approximately 20m² in one coat / 12m² in two coats depending on the timber and method of application.
  • 2.5L will cover approximately 50m² in one coat / 30m² in two coats depending on the timber and method of application.
  • 1L will cover approximately 3 doors in two coats depending on the timber and method of application.
