These beautiful British Douglas Fir Midview Closeboard Driveway Gates are both traditional and contemporary at the same time. Quite a trick! Every gate is made using solid material and are framed beautifully with mortice and tenon joints and are fully ledged and braced for additional stability and longevity.

All gates come in and are priced as a pair with a left-handed and right-handed gates.

Our gates come in a range of height to best suit your entrance way. Our Oak Swan Neck gates come in:

  • 1220mm at the highest point and 950mm at the lowest (to the top of the stiles)
  • 1525mm at the highest point and 1255mm at the lowest (to the top of the stiles)
  • 1830mm at the highest point and 1560mm at the lowest (to the top of the stiles)
  • 2135mm at the highest point and 1865mm at the lowest (to the top of the stiles)

We also supply the gates in the following widths + a 920mm Pedestrian Gate to match:

  • 920mm (3ft) (A pair covers a span of 1840mm)
  • 1220mm (4ft) (A pair covers a span of 2440mm)
  • 1370mm (4.5ft) (A pair covers a span of 2740mm)

Prestige

Our Prestige range of gates are made using substantial 105mm x 75mm solid material and strengthened using 90 x 40mm bracing. Prestige gates are crafted with 22mm tongue and groove boards for a strong, rigid, premium finish.

Priory

Our Priory range of gates are made using a lighter weight 90mm x 60mm solid material and strengthened using 90 x 40mm bracing. Priory gates are crafted with 16mm tongue and groove boards for a lighter weight,  premium finish.

Notes

Please allow for around 40mm of spacing between the gates and the gate posts split as 15mm - 10mm - 15mm, where the 15mm is between the gates and gate posts.

Due to the inherent variability of materials used in crafting timber field and entrance gates, some natural movement, such as warping or twisting of the wood, may occur as the gates weather. This is a normal characteristic of timber and should not be viewed as a flaw or regarded as a defect as it does not affect the gate’s durability. When properly installed, the adjustable hinges, latches, centre gate stop, and drop bolts are designed to keep the gates aligned, clear of the ground, and adjustable to accommodate any natural shifts in the wood.
