UK Timber Ltd are one of the few oak flooring manufacturers in the UK and we are delighted to tell you that we are adding to our extensive portfolio.

Our beautifully machined Extra Wide American Oak Floorboards are now available, a completely bespoke product that is made to order that we have controlled from the tree to the floor.

Everything about our Solid American Oak Flooring is unique, as we take in the material from tree to your floor, manufacturing every step in the production inhouse. Our process begins with the tree passing through our sawmill, where the boards are graded and selected for their final purpose. They are then kiln dried to between 8 - 12% moisture for ultimate stability, graded once more and sawn to size. The boards are then machined into flooring with a tongue and groove finish for ease of fitting. The boards are planed to a beautifully smooth finish, good enough to be left as is ready for final treatment by the customer with hard wax oil or a final sanding once in position.

Our Extra Wide Oak Flooring is particularly suitable for larger rooms, with the wider boards laid over a large expanse creating an impressive look, embellishing any décor, and finishing the room with a premium look that will not only last, but add value to your home.

The Extra Wide Oak Flooring is supplied with perfectly crosscut ends, ensuring ease of fitting, maximum durability, and a beautiful finish. All standard widths, right up to an impressive 290mm, can be supplied with an ends matched tongue and groove finish all around each board, larger widths are cross cut on the ends rather than ends matched. 

For effective installation, we recommend that the boards are laid onto either a flat surface or are carefully selected and/or trimmed to ensure they end on a joist.

As all Extra Wide Flooring is made to order and completely bespoke to each customer, we do ask customers to allow a significantly longer than normal lead time for manufacture and delivery. This will be confirmed when you place your order. We promise, it will be worth the wait!
