Siberian Larch Fencing Battens/Slats

Our Siberian Larch Fencing Battens are ideal should you require a stable, durable, yet modern look to your boundaries.  Due to its high resin content, Siberian Larch is one of the most naturally hardy of all softwood species and highly durable without any treatment. It offers almost the same characteristics as oak at a more affordable price!

Not to be confused with the pink colour of English Larch, Siberian Larch is a stunning golden/straw-like colour, eventually turning to a beautiful silvery grey once exposed to the elements. You can prolong the original colour and offer your boundaries long-lasting protection by applying our Treatex Douglas Fir Protection.

Fencing battens can have an occasional defect and due to their size and relatively slight thickness that may make part of the batten unusable for the project. It is suggested that 5% wastage is built into the calculations for the project but 10% would be safer. Wastage can of course be minimised by careful selection of the correct lengths for the correct sections of your fencing/cladding project. 

Our Siberian Larch is kiln-dried to an 18% moisture content, making it ideal and ready to fix for use in both internal and external applications.

Available in a 45 x 20mm and 70 x 20mm section size in the following lengths:

• 1800mm
• 3000mm
• 4000mm
• 6000mm

Machined to a lovely smooth planed finish to both faces leaving the edges in a fine sawn square edge profile from our unsorted grade Siberian Larch. Being a natural living product, you may experience some knots, surface checks, shrinkage and wane, however, this does not detract from the structural integrity of the material or its ability to give you those clean and contemporary lines.
