First Grade Oak Featheredge Cladding

Our First Grade Oak Featheredge Cladding is perfect for when you require an elegant, contemporary finish to your cladding project. Almost knot free, this species offers additional stability as well as long-lasting protection from the elements. 

These almost knot free First Grade Boards will create a clean cut finish. Due to the natural characteristics of oak, the boards may contain a slight colour variation.

Your boards will be supplied untreated. No treatments are required, however, if you wish to preserve the supplied colour for that little while longer or use a weather-resistant sealant, please take a look at our Treatex range. Should you wish to leave it to age gracefully, it will eventually turn to a beautiful silvery grey colour as the suns rays do their work.

Our boards for the featheredge profile are cut on the diagonal, producing a tapered board that is overlapped when fitted, similar to roof tiles, thus giving that traditional featheredge finish.

Ready to fix and available in First Grade:

First Grade is sorted to include only the clearest (most knot free) boards with the straightest grain possible. A perfect choice for all modern and contemporary applications.

We offer the following section sizes:

• 150mm x 24mm reducing to 6mm at the feather
• 200mm x 24mm reducing to 6mm at the feather

This cladding is for external use only. Please remember to make allowances for at least a 35mm overlap on each board (50mm is best) when making your calculations. If your boards are exposed to varying weather conditions before fitting, they are likely to cup, warp and split; the ideal time to fit cladding to keep this to a minimum is between the months of October and April and within 7 to 14 days of delivery.

Priced per square metre and supplied in random lengths between 1200mm and 3600mm unless otherwise specified for an additional charge:

• Set lengths up to 3500mm - £8.00 extra per square metre exc VAT
• Set lengths above 3500mm - £12.00 extra per square metre exc VAT

This can be done by adding the 'Set lengths (Cladding)' product to your basket (1 quantity = 1 square meter of cladding). You will need the same amount of cladding and set lengths in your basket to get the set lengths that you need so make sure to double check you have added the correct quantity.
