PAR and Chamfered European Oak Bollard 150 x 150mm

Our PAR and Chamfered European Oak Bollard 150 x 150mm is a solid oak bollard, planed all round to a smooth finish, with 3 mm chamfered edges, for marking out areas and creating barriers.

Uses

Timber bollards are a cost-effective alternative to steel or concrete for pedestrian and traffic management: guiding vehicles in a car park, protecting pedestrian areas, protecting grass verges from vehicles or forming a barrier around buildings.

About European oak

Solid European oak, Character Grade, supplied untreated.

Top styles and options

Choose the top style and grooves from the options on this page:

• Top style: No Weathering (flat top), Back Weathered, Half Pyramid, Full Pyramid or 4 Way Flat Top.
• Grooves: none, a single groove or double grooves, plain or with reflective tape.
• Groove size: each groove is 20 mm wide and shallow, with the reflective tape set just below the surface (about 7 mm deep). The first groove is centred 90 mm below the top of the shaft; on double grooves the second is centred 50 mm below the first.
• Reflective tape: white as standard, or red. Add a comment to your order to choose red; if no colour is given we supply white.

Sizes and pricing

150 x 150 mm section. Planed bollards finish approximately 6 mm smaller than the nominal size (±2 mm). Prices per bollard ex VAT, flat top with no grooves:

• Top style: No Weathering (flat top) at no extra cost; Back Weathered or Half Pyramid +£5.50; Full Pyramid +£6.00; 4 Way Flat Top +£7.00 per bollard ex VAT.
• Grooves: Single Groove +£2.00; Double Grooves +£3.00; Single Groove with Reflective Tape +£7.00; Double Grooves with Reflective Tape +£8.00 per bollard ex VAT.

Fixing and installation

As a guide, a 1000 mm bollard installed in the ground sits about 700 mm above ground, with about 300 mm buried.
