English Larch and Douglas Fir are possibly the most hardy and most durable of domestic softwoods. These sleepers are untreated because their high resin content acts as nature's own highly effective preservative. Larch & Douglas Fir have a striking appearance with colour variations from cream to pink to bronze, they can have all 3 in the same piece of timber. As with all timber if left untreated it will become a silver grey over time with the bleaching effect of the sun.
A superb sleeper that should last for decades and is perfect for all those sensitive applications such as childrens play areas, ponds and raised vegetable beds!
